Founded in 1985, Racine & Associates frequently serves as general counsel or special outside counsel. We effectively serve clients in areas of governance and operations, contracts, finance and investments, real estate, investment, licensing, business organization, bankruptcy, government policy and practice, as well as selected personal legal services. Over the years, we have had the privilege to represent a broad range of clients – including the Dearborn General and Police & Fire Retirement Systems, the Wayne County Employees’ Retirement System, and the General Retirement System of the City of Detroit. We have served as general counsel for the Detroit Municipal Credit Union (now known as Detroit Metropolitan Credit Union), Greektown Casino, L.L.C., and the Detroit Regional Convention Facility Authority (a/k/a the COBO Hall Authority). Representing public entities brings a wealth of experience in proper governance, FOIA and open meetings act issues. We have a depth of experience in matters of loan and investment due diligence and documentation, real estate transactions, legal opinions, ordinances and complex commercial litigation.

In addition to public entities, representation includes numerous businesses, start-up companies, as well as established organizations, and nationally recognized companies doing business throughout the United States and internationally. The firm has substantial work experience in business development and acquisitions, casino licensing, liquor licensing and general day-to-day-issues, all of which complement the corporate, public pension and commercial legal services offered.
